TEHRAN: As the conflict in West Asia continues, India has provided medicines to Iran as part of humanitarian assistance. The supplies were handed over to the Iranian Embassy in New Delhi. They will be transported to Iran by road through neighbouring countries.
There had been differences between India and Iran on some issues earlier. When the war began, there were allegations that India did not condemn the attacks on Iran. After this, talks were held between the two countries. The Prime Minister also spoke directly with the President of Iran.
The Foreign Ministers of India and Iran held regular discussions. After these talks, India has now supplied medicines to Iran. With Iran’s help, two LPG tankers reached India safely. India had thanked Iran for this support. Efforts are ongoing to bring more tankers to India through the Strait of Hormuz.
