The kid died of the disease last Sunday. Her test results came out today. The children having symptoms were admitted to the hospital. The disease is caused by Shigella bacteria, which invade the digestive tract. Symptoms include diarrhea, fever, abdominal pain, vomiting, fatigue, bloody stools, and diarrhea.
The disease is transmitted through contaminated water and stale food. Children under the age of five contracting the disease are more likely to die. If not careful, the disease can spread quickly. The disease can spread through direct or indirect contact with the excreta of patients. Symptoms are observed for two to seven days. Sometimes the symptoms can last longer. Some people may not show any symptoms. If you experience fever, blood-stained stools, dehydration, or fatigue, seek medical attention. Often the illness is not serious.
