Election breaking: Congress releases second phase Candidate list for 37 Seats

NEW DELHI: Following days of intensive deliberation, the Congress party has officially unveiled its second phase of candidates for the upcoming elections. Announced by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, the new list names contenders for 37 key seats and features several high-profile shifts in the party’s strategy. Among the most notable updates, V.S. Sivakumar is set to contest from Aruvikkara, while K.S. Sabarinathan has been fielded for the highly watched Nemom constituency.

The announcement also signals a change in leadership for Perumbavoor, where incumbent MLA Eldhose Kunnappilly has been moved aside in favor of Manoj Moothedan. Rounding out the significant entries in this phase are M. Liju and N. Sakthan, both of whom have secured their places on the ballot. This latest rollout clarifies the party's frontline as they move into the next stage of the campaign.
