BLO commits suicide by jumping into river

KASARGOD: A booth level officer (BLO) committed suicide by jumping into a river. The incident happened at Mogral in Kasargod. The dead has been identified as Savad (32) of Puthur in Mogral. He was a school teacher in Cherkkala.

The incident happened Saturday morning at around 7:30 am. He committed suicide by jumping into the river after keeping his bike on the side of the bridge. After Savad went missing from his home since this morning, his relatives conducted a search and found his bike near the bridge. A search was then conducted in the river and found him in a critical condition. He was immediately taken to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. His body is presently kept at the Kasaragod General Hospital.

Relatives alleged that work pressure was the reason for the suicide. His relatives have demanded an investigation on his death and said they will accept his body only after the collector comes and talks to them.
