PALAKKAD: Ramesh Pisharody, actor and the UDF candidate in Palakkad, responded to the remarks of senior CPM leader Thomas Isaac. Pisharody while talking to the media said that he is not making unnecessary remarks and that culture is not something that can be attained by protesting.
'I only have love for Thomas Isaac. Culture is not something that can be attained by protesting. I also have culture. I cannot stand by Isaac and answer him. Why are artists hated by the CPM? The stand that those who do not stand by are those who should be hated is not correct,’ said Pisharody.
Thomas Isaac had recently criticized that there is no point in fielding actors who play comic roles as candidates and then complain about not getting votes. In response, the UDF said that the candidate in Palakkad, Ramesh Pisharody, is not just a film personality but a Congress worker.
