
BOGOTA: A military aircraft carrying 110 soldiers has crashed in Colombia. The aircraft, identified as a Lockheed C-130 Hercules, had taken off from Puerto Leguízamo in the southern Amazon region of Colombia. Reports suggest that around 80 people may have been killed in the accident.
Visuals from the crash site are circulating on social media. Defence Minister Pedro Sanchez said the crash occurred within minutes of takeoff. However, he added that the exact number of casualties and the cause of the crash have not yet been officially confirmed.
