Meta to introduce AI tool to fix hacked social media accounts in minutes

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Meta is preparing to introduce an AI support assistant that can resolve issues like hacked Facebook and Instagram accounts within minutes. The system, which will function as a chatbot, is expected to be launched soon. It will help detect account hacking quickly and provide solutions.

The service will be available to users 24/7. It will offer instant assistance for account settings, profile issues, privacy settings, and password resets. The company claims that the assistant will be able to respond to queries within five seconds.

A feature that detects suspicious login activities and sends alerts is currently being tested in the United States. Meta aims to expand this system globally.

Hacked accounts can be recovered
The service can be accessed through iOS and Android apps as well as the desktop Help Centre. Users will be able to report issues related to their accounts, including scams and problems involving fake accounts. The system will also provide ways to recover access to hacked accounts. It is designed to help users identify up to 5,000 fraud attempts daily. Additionally, it can reduce user reports related to celebrity impersonation by up to 80 percent.
