THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The chief minister’s remark ‘go home and ask’ at the LDF election convention in Konni was to a CPM activist. Das P George of East Mukku in Attachakkal tried to raise a question to the chief minister.

However, even before Das completed the question, the chief minister responded ‘go home and ask’. Das stood up when the chief minister was speaking about the transport facilities in Kerala. His response to the incident was released by a private channel.

Das P George said the question was about development and the lack of central funds. Das said that when the chief minister said the government had carried out development works worth crores and that there was not enough money for development since the central government had blocked the funds, he said that he was trying to ask the question of how to find money. He said that he should not have asked such a question while he was speaking.

Meantime, the Congress is planning to use the chief minister's remarks as a weapon for the election campaign. The ‘chettatharam’ (meanness) remarks towards G Sudhakaran and ‘go home and ask’ will be raised. The opposition is mocking that PR is not working. The opposition said that what happened in Konni is an example of the chief minister losing his composure due to fear of defeat.
