
LAHORE: Amir Hamza, a founding member of Lashkar-e-Taiba has been shot and is in a critical condition, according to reports. Amir was shot outside the office of a media at Lahore in Pakistan. He was rushed to the hospital but remains in a critical condition. It is not clear who was behind the attack. Lahore police said that an investigation is underway to find the person who shot Amir Hamza. A high alert has been issued in the area.
Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was founded between 1985 and 1986 by terrorists Hafiz Saeed and Amir Hamza. Amir Hamza was behind many terrorist attacks that happened in many places including in India. Amir is considered the second most important leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba. The US has also included him in the list of terrorists. Hamza, born in 1959, participated in the Afghan war. After that, Lashkar was formed. However, in 2018, he distanced himself from Lashkar-e-Taiba, the report said.
