KOLLAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan while addressing the media in Kollam, said the opposition is the one who ran away from the debate in the assembly. Did the opposition raise its voice when the Center neglected Kerala, asked the chief minister.
‘The debate challenge raised by V D Satheesan is a very good initiative. The biggest platform for a debate is the assembly. However, the opposition chose to walk away from there. They know that if questions are raised in the assembly, answers will be given, but what did the opposition actually do in the assembly? What role has the opposition played in the development of Kerala? Did they raise their voice when the Centre neglected Kerala? If they have answers to all these questions, we are ready for a debate. The UDF’s approach is not to offend the BJP. Kerala is not in a debt trap; that is merely political propaganda. Kerala has strong financial stability. The LDF government has been able to carry forward both development and welfare together. That is due to the clear direction and vision of the LDF,’ said the chief minister.
Meantime, dramatic incidents unfolded during the press meet in Kollam. After ending the press meet and leaving, the chief minister returned and sat in front of the mic. He said that it is not enough just to have questions in mind and that the session was being concluded due to lack of time. He then responded to three more questions.
