THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP leader P K Krishnadas has stepped forward with a controversial remark that if the LDF or the UDF comes to power, love jihad will be implemented. He also alleged that girls from Hindu and Christian families would be lured into relationships and recruited for anti-national activities. Krishnadas alleged that Jamaat-e-Islami and SDPI will be in control if either of the two fronts come to power. His controversial remarks were at the public meeting in Kattakada attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah yesterday.
‘The Marxist Party and the Congress are not two, they are one. If the fronts led by the Marxist Party or the Congress come to power, who will control that government? It will be pro-Pakistan anti-national organizations like Jamaat-e-Islami and SDPI. So, what is going to happen? Girls from Hindu and Christian homes will be recruited for anti-national activities under the pretext of love jihad and this is what is going to happen in Kerala.
The voters in Kerala should think whether to allow this. A dangerous situation is going to come to Kerala. On one side is Jamaat-e-Islami and on the other side is SDPI. Both of these are pro-Pakistan organizations. Congress and Marxist Party have formed alliances and cooperation with these two organizations,' said Krishnadas.
However, BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar has come forward dismissing Krishnadas' controversial statement. He clarified that the party is not of the opinion that love jihad will be implemented if the LDF of the UDF come to power and if it had been, it would have been in the manifesto.
