KANNUR: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan made a controversial remark against Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the press meet held in the district. When the media asked about Revanth Reddy’s dialogue ‘Nee po mone Vijaya’ while campaigning for Congress candidate K S Sabarinathan, Pinarayi said a reply is coming and made the remark ‘dash mone Revantha.’

He also added that there is no anti-government sentiment in the state and that the people of Kerala is with the LDF. The chief minister responded to most of the recent issues in Kerala at the press meet.

‘The CPM–BJP deal allegation shows the political bankruptcy of the Congress. Congress has become a group that supplies people to the BJP. Where are the children of senior Congress leaders now? It was the Congress who helped O Rajagopal win in Nemom in 2016. Such a ‘deal’ is not a dress that CPM can wear, you can wear it yourselves.

There is no anti-government sentiment in the state. Experts themselves had said that the floods were not manmade; all other claims are mere allegations. G Sudhakaran and the local people know how his brother G Bhuvaneswaran was killed. Sudhakaran even made statements insulting his brother’s martyrdom. There is an attempt to provoke certain sentiments there, but none of this will work in Ambalappuzha. It is a land that carries the legacy of Punnapra–Vayalar. This will not create any dent for the LDF there. To please Congress, he may continue making such statements,’ said the chief minister.
