Malayali girl goes missing during trip in Chikkamagaluru; special team formed to carry out search

BENGALURU: A Malayali girl who had gone on a trip to Chikkamagaluru has gone missing. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening. The missing girl has been identified as Sreenanda (14), a Class 10 student from Kadampazhippuram in Palakkad.

Sreenanda had arrived in Chikkamagaluru along with her family as part of a group of around 40 people from Palakkad. She went missing while at Chandragiri Hills. Police and forest officials conducted a search operation until 1 a.m., but were unable to locate the girl. A special investigation team has now been formed to trace her. The team, which includes members who arrived from Palakkad, has started a fresh search from this morning using drones and other equipment.
