KUWAIT CITY: Jazeera Airways has cancelled its services to nine cities in India, including two airports in Kerala. The airline said that its recently announced services via Dammam to Calicut International Airport (Karipur) and Kannur International Airport have been suspended. The cancellations will affect flights scheduled up to May 15. According to the airline, the decision was taken due to operational issues.
Apart from those to Kerala, services have also been cancelled to airports in Coimbatore International Airport, Goa, Lucknow, Madurai Airport, Mangaluru International Airport, Tiruchirappalli International Airport, and Vijayawada Airport until May 15.
Passengers who have booked tickets on these flights will receive full refunds. They can contact their travel agents or booking platforms for processing refunds. Those who booked through the airline’s website or app will get refunds through the same channels.
Jazeera Airways had earlier announced two weekly services from Kuwait to Kozhikode (via Dammam) starting April 8 on Wednesdays and Sundays, and to Kannur starting April 14 on Tuesdays and Fridays. The airline operates a combined bus-and-flight service, where passengers are transported by bus from Kuwait to Dammam and then flown to their destinations. However, the airline clarified that services to eight other destinations in India will continue without any changes.
