THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar rejected the claims of both major fronts that they would win over 100 seats in Kerala. He said that the state is likely to see a hung assembly and that the NDA will emerge as a decisive force.

“Who is going to give the CPM a third term? What have they done to deserve votes? Where do they think they will get so many seats from? I don’t know if there are even 100 seats in Cuba. This is a matter of basic common sense,” Rajeev Chandrasekhar mocked.

"The NDA is not seeking power to create disruptions in the assembly, break computers, or climb onto the Speaker’s desk. We are seeking an opportunity to serve the people, solve long-standing issues, and build a developed Kerala for everyone," he said.

He also claimed that the Congress-led UDF will not cross 50 seats in the state. Calling the election crucial for Kerala, he said it would bring a change in the political culture of the state. He further alleged that creating controversies before elections is a regular practice of the Congress, referring to a recent incident in Palakkad.
