BENGALURU: The search for Sreenanda, a 15-year-old girl, who went missing from Chikkamagaluru in Karnataka on April 7, will continue today. It has been 60 hours since the girl went missing. The search in the steep areas near the Manikyadhara waterfall where the girl went missing will continue today. The parents allege that the girl may have been abducted. An investigation is underway in that direction as well. Her parents are staying in Chikkamagaluru in the hope of finding their daughter. She is a Class 10 student from Kadampazhippuram in Palakkad.

Sreenanda had arrived in Chikkamagaluru along with her family as part of a group of around 40 people from Palakkad on Tuesday evening. She went missing from near the Manikyadhara waterfall in Baba Budangiri. A 100-member special force comprising police, forest department and fire brigade is presently engaged in the search operations. Thermal drones are being used to inspect steep slopes and cliffs. The search team is hopeful that she will be found as the search enters its fourth day.

Her mother is deeply worried that someone may have abducted her daughter. She said that someone may have targeted the girl as soon as she landed in Chikkamagaluru and may have drugged her when she was alone. The police are investigating these and other things.
