Three arrested for plotting to kill Modi; sends message to CIA demanding money

NEW DELHI: Three were arrested for plotting to murder Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The incident happened in Bihar. The three were arrested following an investigation conducted based on secret information. Their leader, Aman Tiwari, sent an email to the American intelligence agency, the CIA, demanding a huge amount as reward for his assassination and this led to his arrest.

Aman was arrested from Bihar's Buxar. Mobile phones, laptops, etc were seized from him. Buxar SP Shubham Arya said the intelligence department had given information about Aman's email. Aman had asked the CIA for a 22-day deadline to assassinate Modi. Two others were arrested after he was questioned. The police said that a detailed investigation has been launched into the incident. Aman was earlier arrested for making a bomb threat at the Kolkata airport. Aman was a minor then.
