Massive fire breaks out at Thuravoor Taluk Hospital

ALAPPUZHA: A major fire broke out at the Thuravoor Taluk Hospital on Tuesday. The incident occurred at 10.15 am today. It is reported that the fire broke out in the medicine storage room above the dialysis unit of the hospital.

The fire brigade reached the spot, and efforts are ongoing to douse the fire. The cause behind the fire is not clear. There is a lot of smoke rising in the area. No casualties have been reported so far. As soon as the fire was noticed, the patients in the dialysis unit were safely evacuated, thus averting a major accident.
