KANNUR: Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar gave an order to take strict action against the college authorities responsible for the death of Anjarakandy Dental College student Nithin Raj. The governor, who is also the chancellor, gave the order to the Vice Chancellor of the Kerala University of Health Sciences, Mohanan Kunnummal.

VC Mohanan Kunnummal had met the governor and submitted a preliminary report. The Health University investigation committee will collect evidence at the college tomorrow. It is reported that the statements of the students will be taken. University Governing Council Member Major General Ajith Neelakandan is heading the investigation.

Nithin Raj, a native of Nedumangad, Thiruvananthapuram, was a first-year student at Anjarakandy Dental College. He was found dead after falling from the college building on Friday. Despite immediately rushing to the hospital, the student's life could not be saved.

Meanwhile, the college management meeting decided to expel the teacher Dr S.K. Ram, who is accused in connection with Nithin Raj's death. Ram, the head of the oral pathology department, will be expelled soon after completing the procedure. The decision has not been officially released.
