Vishnu missing for a week; family blames loan app, police intensify probe

KOZHIKODE: The police have intensified investigation in the missing complaint of Vishnu of Ayancheri in Vadakara. The family filed a complaint with the cyber police stating that Vishnu was threatened by the loan app. The family also handed over evidence to the police to prove this.

The police are investigating Vishnu's financial transactions. Vishnu had taken a loan of Rs 10,000 through the loan app. When the repayment was delayed, the loan app threatened him by showing him morphed pictures and he was upset by the phone calls he received just before he went missing, said his family’s complaint.


Vishnu left home seven days ago, saying that he was going to the bank. The family alleged that he had not returned since then. The Vadakara police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. Vishnu's last tower location was in Kasaragod. The police are intensifying investigation focusing on CCTV.
