Brothel visits, porn, and online ludo: Shocking details emerge in IRS daughter's rape-murder

NEW DELHI: The posh locality of South Delhi is still not out of the shock over the brutal rape and murder of the daughter of an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer. Police found out that the accused, hours before attacking the IRS officer’s daughter, had committed a similar crime in Alwar.

The victim is undergoing medical examination. The victim, who was known to the accused Rahul, said that he threatened to kill her if she spoke about the incident. It is said that the youngster attacked the woman while her husband was away attending a wedding.

Domestic help Rahul Meena, after committing the crime in Alwar, came to the Kailash Hills apartment and entered the room of his former employee through a spare key and walked straight to the rooftop where the 22-year-old victim was studying.

It is said that he assaulted her and later strangled her with a mobile phone charger. It has been found that the accused even tried intercourse while the victim was lying unconscious. The former domestic help then broke the lockers, stole money and escaped from the house before changing his blood-stained clothes.

Rahul Meena got the work at the IRS officer’s house after a recommendation from his father, who had known the officer from his former workplace. Rahul was paid a monthly salary of Rs 20,000. Rahul’s unruly work standards forced the bureaucrat to dismiss him, which is believed to have triggered hate in the youngster’s mind.

From the investigation, it was found that after getting sacked, the youngster spent his time in the village playing online games and ludo. He also used the money acquired from work to spend on brothels. Some findings also exposed the huge cache of porn he stored on his phone, which gave a hint about his perverse interests. From the phone, it was also found that the domestic help carried ill intentions towards the victim even during his time employed at the house.
