12 out of 20 best hospitals in the country belong to Kerala, 13 more hospitals get accreditation

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a recent development. the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has accorded NQAS certification to 13 more hospitals in Kerala. With this, the state now has 12 out of 20 best PHCs in the entire nation. It was Agricultural minister VS Sunil Kumar who informed this through his Facebook page.

According to reports, 55 institutions in the state have got NQAS accredition so far. Apart from this, 10 other hospitals have undergone state level quality analysis and are awaiting to get national level accredition. It is learnt that the state government has plans to help 140 government hospitals to achieve this feat by this year-end. The NQAS accreditation clearly depicts the government's excellence in the health care sector through the Ardram mission.
