KANNUR: Woman activists Bindu Ammini and Kanaka Durga who managed to sneak into Sabarimala during the last mandalam season told Keralakaumudi on Wednesday that “there was no chance for the Supreme Court to review its earlier verdict” that allowed women of ages to enter Sabarimala.
“After the verdict that allowed women below 50 years also to enter Sabarimala temple, we climbed the hillock and implemented the court order. Again, we are not going to go... There is no point in us going to Sabarimala again. Let new people go. However, some people have come forward, expressing their interest… There is a group called Navodhana Keralam Sthreepaksha Koottayma to help them. On Thiruvonam day two women inside and outside Kerala were able to visit Sabarimala. We shall help those who are ready to visit the temple. As of now, we have not thought about going to Sabarimala again,” Kanaka Durga said.
