PATHANAMTHITTA: The district administration has decided on the prices to charged for vegetarian food items being sold at Nilakkal, Pamba, Sannidhanam during Sabarimala mandalam season. The price list of various food items sold in hotels and food stalls have been published.
The order in this regard was issued by district collector P B Noohu on Tuesday. A cup of tea or coffee will cost Rs 11 at Sannidhanam and Rs 10 at other places including Pamba and Nilakkal.
Black coffee/tea without sugar will cost Rs 9 at Sannidhanam and Rs 8 at other places including Pamba and Nilakkal. Instant coffee/Machine Coffee/ Bru coffee/Nescafe will cost Rs 15 for 150 ml and Rs 20 for 200 ml in all places. Bournvita/Horlicks will cost Rs 20 for 150 ml.
Meanwhile, snacks like Parippuvada, Uzhunnuvada and Bonda is priced at Rs 10 per piece.

Palappam/Idiyappam: Rs 9 at Sannidhanam ( Rs 8 in other places)
Uppuma: Rs 22 at Sannidhanam (Rs 20 in other places)
Ghee rice: Rs 38 at Sannidhanam (Rs 35 in other places)
Masal dosa: Rs 45 at Sannidhanam (Rs 40 in other places)
Payasam: Rs 15 at Sannidhanam (Rs 12 in other places)
Meanwhile, Civil Supplies department has appointed squads to check the quality of food sold from hotels and eateries. Instructions have also been given to exhibit price list at these outlets. Strong action will be taken against those who exorbitant rates for food items, according to government sources. Legal Metrological department has appointed squads to check for any mismatch between price and quantity of the food items sold.
