BENGALURU: The ruling BJP managed to secure 12 out of the 15 seats which went to by-polls in Karnataka. While the Congress managed to win 2 seats, a BJP rebel won the remaining seat as an Independent candidate. Meanwhile, the Janata Dal Secular failed to register a win in the by-election.

With this, Chief Minister Yeddyurappa is expected to complete his term as the BJP will have 105 MLAs in the assembly. It is also learnt that an independent candidate will also support the BJP.
