KOCHI: President Ram Nath Kovind asked not to shift the wedding venue fixed earlier at a hotel in Kochi following his visit. The president took the decision considering the request of a woman from abroad who came to attend the wedding. The President also decided to cancel the tight security arranged for him at the hotel.

The marriage is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at the Taj Vivanta in Kochi. Accommodation for the President reaching navy airport at 2.15 pm on Monday afternoon, was arranged in the same hotel. They had to change the marriage venue to meet the security protocol of the President's visit.

Ashley Hall, the woman from abroad had tweeted about this to the President of India. When this came to his notice, the president directed not to shift the venue and asked to conduct the marriage as scheduled earlier. The president after staying in the hotel on Monday will proceed to Lakshadweep on Tuesday.
