SABARIMALA: Raveendra Reddy, a native of Kadappa in Andhra Pradesh reached Sannidhanam walking 4700 km from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh for a glimpse of Makaravilakku. He took four months and 15 days for the journey. Reddy’s guruswamy had reached Sannidhanam on foot from Ujjain. Reddy from then wanted to do the same and started from Jyothirlinga Siva Temple in Ujjain. On his way he visited eight Jyothirlinga Siva Temples. He had been reaching Sannidhanam from Kadappa for the past six years. Reddy said that he started from Ujjain as his birth star ‘Chothi’ is connected to Jyothirlinga and Sivalinga and ashes of relatives are immersed in Kasi Viswanath Temple. After makaravilakku, he will return to Pandalam along with the procession carrying the thiruvabharanam on January 21st.
