LAHORE: As Pakistan is currently facing a serious financial crisis, the price of household commodities including that of flour has skyrocketed. Meanwhile, Pakistan's Federal Railway Minister came up citing a bizarre logic for the hike in wheat prices.
According to minister Sheikh Rashid, there has been a hike in prices of staple food across the country as people eat more bread in the months of November and December.“In December and November, people eat more bread than usual. It’s not a joke, a study backs my claims,” he said in a recent press conference.
It must be noted that there has been a hike in flour price recently in Pakistan. Sources said that the price of flour increased by five rupees in the last week due to the shortage of wheat supply.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has been constantly trying to cover up the crisis by blaming India over petty issues. He was in the news recently when he blamed Bollywood films for the increase in sex crimes and divorce in Pakistan.
