KOZHIKODE: The third charge sheet in the sensational Koodathai case was submitted in the Thamarassery court by the investigation team on Saturday. The charge sheet is related to the murder of Alphine, the one and a half-year-old daughter of the main accused Jolly's husband. Apart from the first accused Jolly, MS Mathew and K Prajikumar have been named as the accused in the charge sheet.

The investigation team stated that Jolly killed Alphine by administering cyanide to the bread fed to her. According to investigating official SP KG Simon, Jolly wanted to marry Shaju and decided to murder Alphine in order to avoid any sorts of liabilities because of her being a girl child. The cyanide was administered to Alphine's bread during a function at Shaju's house. SP Simon further added that the case was a complicated one and it required great effort from the investigation team to collect evidence and close the loopholes in the case.
