THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a response to opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala's claim that the state government cannot take credit for fulfilling Life Mission Project, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan blamed Congress for playing spoilsport at a time when the entire state is rejoicing. Reminding the opposition that no politician can go forward with a narrow mindset, Vijayan said that the opposition leader should have thought about it before acting cruelly against poor people. The minister was speaking after proclaiming the completion of the construction of two lakh houses under the Life Mission project.
According to the Chief Minister, the opposition has always maintained a stance against the poor people. The opposition had even stayed away while Kerala was being rebuilt following the floods, he added. 'If the opposition has helped in constructing any houses under the Life project, they are very much welcome to take credit for it. However, they did not support the project and have always been against the state and its future.," he added.
