THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Film director Rajasenan has come out with hate speech against migrant labourers in the light of their protest gathering at Paippad in Kottayam on Sunday.
He has also posted the video of it on the social media under the title ‘ Malayalis should prove their literacy through this. Don’t see politics at least in this matter.’
Excerpts from his post:
All Malayalis are staying indoors strictly heeding to the instruction of the prime minister and chief minister, bearing all losses. It was then a group of migrant labourers started protest in Paippad, complaining that they don’t have food, water etc….
They are being used for several other things by some people in our country. We have to cast aspersions on this, especially the way they held protests against Citizenship Rights Amendment Act.
Just recall that about ten years ago, there were no migrant labourers in Kerala hotels. At that time, we never contracted diseases by eating food from hotels. But now, the situation is not like that. The atmosphere in hotels has become unhygienic. They are recruited because they work for low wages. We must also realise that they had grabbed the job opportunities of Malayalis.
I have a request to our respectable chief minister.
Kindly oust them from our State. There will be no better opportunity than this. But, some people may be misleading you. These workers from other states are danger to our State.
Earlier also, I have said this in several venues. Send them back after giving them what is necessary. This a humble request… Thank you.
