NEW DELHI: Coronavirus has claimed the lives of 38 people in India and 1300 have been confirmed of the virus. Seven were confirmed of the virus in Tamil Nadu today. With this, 74 in Tamil Nadu have been confirmed of the virus. New cases were reported from Rajasthan, Haryana, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. 83 people in Rajasthan have contracted the disease and this was after the return of seven people from Iran. Two have died of the disease in Kerala. So far, 213 people have been confirmed of the deadly virus. In Maharashtra, the virus was confirmed on 230 people.
Eleven died of the disease in the country yesterday. Of that, six had attended the religious congregation in Nizamuddin. In Hyderabad, 11 who came from Indonesia was confirmed of the disease. The disease was confirmed when six who came from Andaman returned. Six natives of Telangana had died of the disease. Dr M Salim, a native of Pathanamthitta who attended the congregation also died. He died in Delhi on Tuesday. He had some heart ailments but was not confirmed of corona.
Many who attended the religious congregation in Nizamumuddin are showing symptoms of the disease. The government has started taking steps to find the details of others who attended the congregation. Meantime, there are no evidences for a community transmission. The Indian army informed that the message circulated in the social media that it would declare a state of emergency next month is fake.
