Person under COVID-19 observation dies in Thiruvalla, positive cases in Maharashtra jump to 1364

PATHANAMTHITTA: A 62-year-old man, who was placed under COVID-19 observation, dies in Thiruvalla. The deceased has been identified as Vijayakumar. He was in observation at home after returning from Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, COVID-19 positive cases in Maharashtra has jumped to 1364. In Mumbai alone, 764 cases have been reported. Two more Malayali nurses were tested positive for coronavirus. Another person passed away in Dharavi. The government has ordered the closure of all shops in Dharavi in the wake of the recent increase in the number of cases.
