KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday cancelled the fee structure determined by the Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee for MBBS courses in self-financing medical colleges in the state. The Division Bench has ordered to redetermine the fee structure after hearing the part of the managements.
The order was made by the court after considering the pleas filed by the management claiming that the fee determined for 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 academic years are too low. The court pointed out that the committee had failed in determining the fee after proper evaluation of facts. The court also pointed out that the committee had not followed various legal provisions when it comes to the determination of fees.
