Schools will only be reopened after July; Permission granted for cinema, channel shooting

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Educational institutions including schools will only be reopened after July, CM Pinarayi Vijayan told the media here.

Meanwhile, cinema shooting will be allowed under certain conditions. No more than 50 persons should be there in a set. Channel programs are also allowed to shoot with a maximum of 25 persons.

The state reported 57 COVID-19 positive cases on Monday. Out of the 57 persons, 55 had recently returned to the state, CM Vijayan said after the coronavirus review meeting in Thiruvananthapuram.

Kasargod and Malappuram accounted for 14 cases each, Thrissur 9, Kollam 5, Pathanamthitta 4, Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam 3 each, Alappuzha and Palakkad 2 each while Idukki reported one case. Meanwhile, 18 patients tested negative for the virus on Monday.
