Sooraj sent to police custody again in Uthra murder case

KOLLAM: Sooraj, the prime accused in Uthra murder case, has been sent to police custody again. He was produced in the court as his custody tenure is ending today. He will be in police custody for four days. The decision is that of Punalur First Class Judicial Magistrate Court.

The police completed examining the bank locker in connection with the case. Ten sovereigns were found in the locker. After completing the inspection, Sooraj was taken to the bank to collect evidence. The locker was opened and examined to know whether there were ornaments, a crucial evidence in the murder committed aiming financial gains.

Sooraj was sent in police custody again after accepting crime branch team’s stand that more investigation is needed in the case. His mother and sister will be questioned again. This is part of a detailed probe to find the role of his family.
