THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday said that the state government is holding discussions to provide TrueNat kits to those expats in Gulf countries who do not have facilities to conduct rapid tests for coronavirus. Speaking to the media after the daily coronavirus review meeting, the Chief Minister said that cooperation of airline companies and permission of respective Indian embassies are required to provide the TrueNat kits.

As of now, 2,79,657 Keralites have returned to the state. Of these, 1172 have tested positive for coronavirus. While 669 infected persons had returned from abroad, 503 had returned from other states.
