THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 19 more regions have been identified as hotspots in Kerala on Tuesday. Pinarayi (Containment zone ward no 5), Kottiyoor (11), Karivellur-Peralam (4,9), Cherukunnu (1), Peringome Vayakkara(7), Kadachira (3), Ullickal (19), Chengalayi (14), Kadirur (18), Chembilode (13, 15), Kolayad (5,6) and Padyam (9) in Kannur, Bharanikkavu (16), Kayamkulam municipality (4,9), Chengannur municipality (14, 15), and Palamel (14) in Alappuzha, Thirunelli (4,5,9,10,12) in Wayanad, Kanjoor (12) in Ernakulam and Thirumittacode (8) in Palakkad district are the new hotspots in the state. At present, there are 127 hotspots in the state.
Meanwhile, 10 places were excluded from the list of hotspots on Tuesday. Kangol Alapadamba (6), Mangattidam (4), Muzhakkunnu (all wards), Panoor (31), Peravoor (11), Thilankeri (all wards) and Udayagiri (2) in Kannur, Bedadukka (8), Badiyadka (18) and Kinanoor-Karindalam (6) in Kasargod were removed from the list.
