THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Foodgrain kit for students as per Midday Meal Scheme will be distributed from next week. Food grain kits from pre-primary class to eighth for April, May months will be distributed as food security allowance, CM Vijayan told the media.
26,26,763 students in government and aided schools will benefit from the scheme. These kits will be distributed in schools through Supplyco with the cooperation of Midday Meal Committee, PTA, SMC, Mother PTA. Parents will have to receive the kits by maintaining social distance. The total expense of the scheme is Rs 81.37 crores.
