Covid transmission in Aluva very high; Curfew clamped as it was inevitable: Minister V S Sunil Kumar

ERNAKULAM: Minister V S Sunil Kumar has said Covid transmission in Aluva is very intense and curfew has been imposed here as the situation warrants it. In Ernakulam the spread of disease is continuing at a dangerous level. Most patients have contracted the disease through contacts. More containment zones will be declared in the district soon.

Prohibitory order declared in Aluva municipality and seven nearby panchayats has come into effect. Keezhmadu, Kadungallur, Edathala, Alangadu, Karumaloor, Chengamanadu, Choornikkara panchayats are the seven panchayats.

Stringent lockdown restrictions have been imposed here as condition is very serious here, according to authorities.
