THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: From now on COVID tests can be conducted in government-accredited private labs without a prescription from doctors as Kerala government issued guidelines regarding this. In order to conduct PCR, RT-PCR, Truenat, and antigen tests one has to submit an affidavit and ID card.

Many sought the permission for walk-in COVID-19 test. The government issued new guidelines for COVID tests in private labs after studying the situation in detail. Through this, the public can walk into a private lab or hospital and do the COVID test. This can also help in the early detection and treatment of the disease.
