Major irregularities in Life Mission deal: Contract signed between UAE consul general and UNITAC, Govt and Red Crescent nowhere in picture

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Major irregularities in Life Mission contract in Wadakancherry. The latest reports that came in stated that a consulate, part of another country, awarded the contract directly to a contractor. The MoU was signed between the state government and Red Crescent. However when the main agreement came, it changed an agreement between the UNITAC and the UAE consul general. The state government and Red Crescent were nowhere in the picture. It was only mentioned that the project would be funded by Red Crescent. The first party to the agreement is UAE Consul General and second party is UNITAC.

The UAE consul did what the Red Crescent has to do. The UAE Consulate should clarify whether any agreement has been reached between the Red Crescent and the UAE Consulate for this purpose. However, neither the government, Life Mission nor the consulate have released a document yet of such understanding. A private channel released the new information about the coup move related to the Life Mission contract.
