THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala recorded 2885 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, health minister KK Shailaja informed. Among the new cases, 2921 persons developed the disease through contact including 251 cases without an identified source of infection, 36 persons came from abroad while 126 came from other states. 56 health workers also tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
1855 coronavirus patients tested negative for the virus on Sunday.

The state reported 14 COVID deaths on Sunday taking the toll to 439.
There are 2,04,489 persons under observation in the state with 22,639 in hospitals. In the past 24 hours, 34,786 samples were tested.
Currently, there are 607 hotspots with the addition of 17 regions and the removal of 13.
