THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: This is the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic in Kerala, said Health Minister K K Shailaja. This is the time to deal with caution, the minister said. She added that preventive measures are progressing well in the state.

The entire world will be going for a lockdown, we need to learn from that. The allegation that Kerala is behind in the cure rate is false, preventive measures are progressing well in the state, she said.

The minister said number of testing in Kerala is also high. Kerala has not reached the alarming level of mortality. 656 people have died of the virus in Kerala. The death rate in other states is much higher than in Kerala, she said.
