Indian Navy’s glider crashes in Kochi, two in serious condition

KOCHI: Two sustained serious injuries after a glider aircraft of the Indian Navy crashed in Kochi. The incident happened near Mattacnherry BOT Bridge Sunday morning at 7 am. An officer and the sailor were the two injured.

The two who are in a serious condition have been shifted to INS Sanjivani.

Gilder is a small aircraft used for training. Only two can travel in it. The accident happened when they left for training from their quarters.

It happened near the BOT Bridge near navy’s headquarters. It crashed in an isolated place on the road near the bridge.

The reason of the accident is not yet clear. Officials of the police, fire force and the air force have shifted the glider from the accident spot.
