Vijay Yesday has come forward with a shocking revelation after being in the industry for 20 years. Playback singers and music directors are not getting the deserved recognition in the Malayalam film industry. He said that as he is fed up of this neglect, has decided to call it quits. In an interview to a fortnight magazine, he said that he took such a decision as the deserved recognition is not obtained. This problem is not there in Tamil and Telugu, he said.

Vijay first entered the Malayalam film industry singing along with his father K J Yesudas for Millenium Stars in 2000. He did not have to look back after that. His last song was from Poomuthole from the film Joseph released in 2019. He said that he has got three awards including the best singer award for Poomuthole last year.

Meanwhile, the singer also got the chance to face the camera. He first acted in the Malayalam filed Ivan. His villain role as an inspector in Dhanush’s Tamil super film Mari was much acclaimed. He will be next seen in a Tamil film with Vijay. He is also starring in the multilingual film Salmon.
