Delay in fixing puncture; goons’ fire at tyre shop owner in Thrissur

THRISSUR: A goonda team fired at the owner of a tyre shop in Thrissur for not fixing the puncture in time. The incident happened last night near Koorkkancheri. The owner who sustained injuries on his leg has been admitted in the hospital. The injuries are not serious. Shefeeq, Ditto and Shajan have been arrested in connection with the incident.

According to police, the accused had an enmity with the shop owner and took revenge on it. The accused had visited the shop four days back. However, the puncture was not fixed at the said time. They came in a group last night to take revenge. They beat him brutally and then fired at him. The police held them when they tried to flee. They have a criminal background. Police is investigating how they got the gun.

This goonda attack in Thrissur is after an interval of days. The police had conducted a raid at some goon centres and arrested many following the murders that happened in the district.
