Film Critics Award 2019; Geethu Mohandas adjudged best director, Nivin Pauly and Manju Warrier best actors

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Lijo Jose Pellisseri’s Jellikettu bagged the 44th Kerala Film Critics Award for the best film of 2019. The award for the director of the best film goes to Lijo for Jellikettu. Geethu Mohandas has been adjudged the best director for her film Moothon. Nivin Pauly is the best actor (Moothon) and Manju Warrier is the best actress (Prathi Poovankozhy).


Dr George Onakkur, jury chairman and association president announced the awards. Thekkinkad Joseph Balan Thirumala, Dr Aravindan Vallachira, Prof Joseph Mathew Pala and A Chandrashekar are the jury members. Forty films came for consideration before the jury. Senior director Hariharan will be given Chalachitra Ratnam considering his overall contributions.
