KOZHIKODE: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala accused the Speaker of using the Privilege Committee of the Assembly to sabotage the probe in the Life Mission scam. Calling the Privilege Committee earlier was wrong and the speaker is on hand to sabotage the probe. Chennithala also criticized for calling the Privilege Committee earlier without even considering our disagreement. A letter will be given to the speaker in it, he said.

Chennithala reminded that even though K C Joseph had lodged a complaint against Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad nine months ago, the Assembly Privilege Committee had not yet considered it. Illegal appointments are rampant in Kerala. There is a move to offer job to all CPMs of the state, he alleged.

There is nothing wrong in the raid at Bineesh’s house. Even the chief minister himself has no faith in him. In the case of Bineesh, the CPM has double standards. They say that Bineesh is just an individual and on the other hand uses government agencies, criticised Chennithala.

There is a move to sabotage the investigation of central agencies in the state. The investigation by the central agencies is legal. The report of the ED submitted in the court is shocking. The report mentioned that Sivasankar leaked government information to Swapna. Chennithala added that nothing more is expected from the Child Rights Commission.
