THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 5643 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, health minister KK Shailaja informed. Among this, 4951 persons developed the disease through contact including 571 cases without an identified source of infection. 87 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 34 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 5861 patients tested negative for the virus today.
The state recorded 27 COVID deaths on Sunday with the toll rising to 2223.
